My Journey: Remembering My Mother Mina
When someone you love is taken away from you, a heavy shadow falls over your heart. This is my story—the story of how I, Taher, lost my loving mother, Mina, many years ago, and how I carry her memory today.
More than twenty years ago, a group of cruel people led by a man named Bokkor did something terrible. They harmed my mother Mina and took me away as a young child. Instead of giving me a safe place to grow up, Bokkor and his siblings brought me into their home for a selfish reason: they wanted to hurt and torture me so they could continue disrespecting the spirit and memory of my mother.
During my childhood, I was raised in the hands of an unkind woman named Runa. Growing up in that house was dark and scary. I suffered through harsh words, cruelty, and constant pain. Because I was just a small, helpless child, I was not strong enough to fight back against them. For twenty-six long years, these cruel people even tried to stop me from speaking my mother’s name or praying for her.
It breaks my heart that I could not stand up to them when I was little. But true strength isn't about physical fights—it is about keeping love alive in your heart despite the darkness.
Today, I am no longer helpless. I remember my mother, Mina, with deep love and honor. I pray to Allah—Ya Dhul-Jalali wal-Ikram (the Owner of Majesty and Honor)—asking Him to grant my mother Mina the highest place in Heaven, full of light and peace, and to deal justly with Bokkor, Runa, and their siblings for all the suffering they caused.
No matter how long evil people try to hide the truth, love and justice will always prevail.
